Chaka Khan, Good Friends, & A Bright Future is a short film by Blake Morton that fantasizes about a utopia in which Black Queer people are sovereign and sacred.
Blake Morton (b. 1999, Atlanta) is a filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist working across avant-garde video art, photomontage, creative writing, and oil painting. Morton is living and working in Los Angeles, California, and holds a BA in Philosophy & Art from Claremont McKenna College. Morton’s work is concerned with queer identity, race, technology, and memory.
